Aurora Aksnes (born June 15, 1996, from Stavanger) is the name of a Norwegian music producer and a vocalist. Her debut E.P. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories involve finding the piano in her attic and becoming fascinated with the sound it made. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents May Britt Aksnes, and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to pursue music for a love rather than as a job. To achieve this, she began writing songs that were her own creations. She has cited renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in her influences, along with an appreciation for the style of Bjork. Her mother encouraged her to perform her music publicly, not in order to be famous, but in order to show others how important they are and what they can do for the world. Piano was her first instrument at the age of six. She started making music at the age of nine. Her family didn't know about this until she reached the age of fourteen. The dream was never to turn into Aurora. Aurora claims she loves creating songs. According to her, she believes that music can help people feel more relaxed.
