Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. Professionally known as Aurora and occasionally stylized using lowercase letters, such as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released through the record label Decca Records in May 2015 receiving great approval from bloggers as well as the press. Half the World Away, by the Oasis band, was released for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole are two of the artist's high-profile recordings. Katy Perry's praise for the song Runaway in a blog post added to the musician's acknowledgement. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was finding a keyboard in her loft and being fascinated by its music. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. The Aksnes family encouraged her to not to pursue music solely for fun or to aid in growth but rather, she was encouraged to take it seriously. The Aksnes family inspired her to write. In addition to Bjork, she cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. When her mother told her that the songs she composed might not make her famous however, but to encourage people to realize the value of themselves and their impact on our world at large, she began performing them publicly. Piano was her first instrument, at six, and she started creating music after turning nine. Her family didn't know until the age of fourteen. Aurora's fame was not her goal. She says she just likes creating songs. According to her, the songs she creates are how she feels about any thing.
