Aurora

Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is a Norwegian song writer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released through Decca Records Decca Records in May 2015 and received a lot of praise from bloggers as well as the media. Half the World Away - by Oasis is a cover for John Lewis' Christmas ad and Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole have already been two covers worth noting that the artist has done. The singer gained further attention from a post by Katy Perry where Perry endorsed her song Runaway. Enjoy the celebration of this special event. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memory is of finding an instrument hidden in her attic then becoming enthralled by its sounds. Parents May-Britt as well as Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to take up music not as a career or hobby but for growth. Thus, she began writing her own songs. Her sources include noted writer Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan and her love of Bjork's style. After her mom said that her songs would not just help her get noticed, but also make others see their importance to the world and appreciate what can be done with the songs, she decided to begin performing publicly. She began playing the piano as her primary instrument, at six, and she started writing music when she turned nine. Her family didn't be aware of this until she was 14. Aurora was not a dream of her childhood. The only thing she loves is to compose music. According to her, she believes music can make people feel more relaxed.
